About this programme

The Applied Professional Certificate in Data Analytics is a 100-hour programme designed to build practical, job-ready data analytics competency while directly preparing learners for the Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) exam. The curriculum follows the four official PL-300 exam objective areas Prepare the Data, Model the Data, Visualize and Analyze the Data, and Manage and Secure Power BI with instructional hours allocated in proportion to each objective's official exam weighting. PL-300 is an applied, hands-on exam: it tests real skills in Power Query, data modeling, DAX, and the Power BI service rather than pure conceptual recall. This programme is built accordingly, with the majority of contact hours spent building an actual, evolving Power BI report in Power BI Desktop rather than working through slides.
